Babies the Doc

There's an awesome documentary that came to theaters back in April. It's about to be released to DVD and OnDemand if you have it. It's called "Babies." It follows four babies from their birth to their first birthday. One baby is from San Francisco, another from Mongolia, another from Japan, and the last from Nimibia. I've read a few reviews and all have described the film as a truly "feel good movie" and "huggable." Most of the doc goes without any sort of commentary. Just from watching the trailer I get that feeling. As far as bad reviews go, the main one (and only one) is that it seems a bit sugarcoated. It doesn't really go into disease, parenting difficulties, etc. I think one of the most interesting aspects of the documentary to me will be to see the differences in culture and societies that each of these babies come from.

I believe it comes to OnDemand August 17 and from the looks of their official website, arrives on DVD 14 days later....August 24
.
Check it out.

  1. I want to see this SO bad. I laughed and cried and got chills just during an extended trailer! Babies tend to do that to me. I'm so excited for it to come out :)

And this documentary was great! I really appreciated how it showed the similarities between babies no matter where they grow up!
